In 1972 Mr. and Mrs. Charles Linton, their children Craig, Beth and Forrest, and six ponies, moved to Woodpecker Farm. This was the beginning of a succession of local, state and national champions. Our Mission
The emotional, psychological and physical connection between the horse and the rider is one major ingredient in horseback riding. Whether the goal is competing or pleasure, our mission is to produce secure riders that connect, on all levels, with the horses they are riding. ~Beth Linton, Woodpecker Farm Our Services
Woodpecker Farm offers Horse Boarding & Training, Lessons, Camps, and Shows.
Boarding & Training
For 35 years Beth Linton has been breaking and training horses and ponies. Many have become champions and all were well mannered and knew their jobs.
Professional trainers Beth Linton and Elizabeth Kennedy teach year-round, Monday through Saturday. Group lessons are small and individualized.
Summer camps are scheduled June to August for all levels of riders (ages 6 & up). Sessions are a full week Monday through Friday (from 9 am to 3 pm).
Woodpecker Farm hosts four shows per year within the Battlefield Horse Show Association - which governs the area's local hunter and jumper show competitions.
